I know that feeling all too well. I blame the society I've grown up in that made it seem like having a cold was no big deal and that you worked until the day you died.
I dont even have a cold, I have IBS which is mostly triggered by stress and anxiety (and fucking onions lol), which I have been experiencing because of work all december 😭
I get it. I have to take days for mental health and I feel guilty for those a lot of the time. If it hadn't been imprinted on my psyche that I had to work all the time and anything regarding myself in way of healing or happiness was treated like a horrible sin, then I might be a happier person.
