Crazy to think something as monumental as the San Onofre Nuclear Generation Station came and went, just in the time between this map and today.

In March 2023 floodwaters eroded the base of the LA aqueduct causing three sections to collapse. To make repairs, LADWP opened the spill gates to flood the Owens lake bed. Its the only time the LA aqueduct has been breached by extreme weather. https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/images/151157/a-surge-of-floodwater-for-owens-lake#:~:text=California's%20Owens%20Lake%20has%20been,south%2C%20drawing%20down%20the%20lake.
