there's an entire generation of young queer people that believe the gay rights movement began with stonewall and no matter how long the reagan's burn in hell, it will never be long enough to make up for the knowledge lost

I wish more people covering politics knew/remembered that marriage equality was the compromise project of what began as a gay liberation movement, not its completion
