This is a golden opportunity for the EU & foreign universities to snap up all the experts in the US who can’t work there anymore.
I’m horrified at the thought of this brain drain, but I believe preserving this talent, knowledge & progress for the entire world is far more important.

It’s trickling down as well. On Nextdoor-a hyperlocal social network that links you with your neighbors- unassuming mom-and-pop citizens are calling us parasites and “bloodsuckers” and sharing memes saying “civilization depends on farmers not scientists!” It’s nuts.
