you might think it's obvious that you're not. it really isn't. I've tried to believe someone was decent only to have them casually dropping slurs later.

trans people don't get to make jokes with these fields because we actually need them. it also fucks with the normalization of the concept

like if every cis person has a joke in their pronoun field and the only people who use them properly are trans people, what effect does that have? it makes it so bigots can pick us out like a sore thumb. it forces disclosure or puts people in the closet.
