Moyes on an initial 18 months with a club option of 12 more months. Good manager that cares for the club.

l think he would settle everything down and let everyone breath again until the full rebuilding begins.

It’s going to take a 2 years at least but progressive steps can be made quickly

I think the long term target won't be available mid season. Short term target, I can only see Moyes, but would he accept a short term deal, unless he is offered the DOF role.

I think Everton should seriously consider Kjetil Knutsen as their next manager. He’s transformed Bodø/Glimt into a European force with attacking football and a team-first ethos. He’s not free now, but the best solutions rarely are. #Everton

I get that better candidates will be available in the summer, and that there may be a shortage of managers now who will take the job on a 6 month contract. But at this point, the hole that Dyche is digging us into may render a better appointment in the summer null and void. Give it to Baines, maybe?

Not saying this is my choice, by the way. Just that it allows us to appoint someone short term who would (hopefully) improve the team, and then appoint a preferred candidate name in the summer. It's risky, but all appointments are, and it's no more risky than the path we are already on

This is the crux of the problem. TFGs first appointment is key & will herald the start of a new era. But if the person they’ve earmarked isn’t available to the summer, why go with 2nd choice? And a temporary solution is fraught with danger. Dyche being crap is gonna force a destabilising change.

We are in a very precarious position now. Potter will not get a tune out of these players. Squad is so limited but that is still no excuse for what is being served up. I’d give it to Moyes for 18 months. Hopefully give us some stability and then we can reassess.

Been saying that for most of the season. They need to make that determination first before they start thinking of names. I suspect they'll learn towards a temporary solution, unless they've tagged a specific manager as their track record isn't exactly glowing.

depends on whether they keep the DOF. If they do, then they need a coach who is aligned to the DOF's strategy and it has to be aligned across the entire club.
That is, of course, if they want to do it right, and not in the half-assed way Moshiri and his circus act did it.

It’s not a question of if he needs to be sacked, it needs to happen immediately. I think the hole he has dug for the club and our players will need an experienced PL manager rather than an up and coming with potential. Needs must I think based on the damage he has done this season

The next manager has to be someone who can improve players, in the Moyes mould. We are not able to buy the best (we could not with Moyes) but he constantly bought players and they improved. That's the type of coach we need. Whether we can get that now or have to wait till summer I don't know.

I wasn't advocating he stays. I've never wanted him.
Still not sure he will be sacked soon tho. I suspect the new owners will try to leave it at as long as possible so they can change him in the summer.
