I would love for Bluesky to become my new source of upcoming video game content. YouTube and the old bird app used to be my main source but I can’t stand the bird app anymore and my YouTube is overshadowed by only IGN. I would love for some more sources!

Most of the time my friends tell me about new stuff coming out, or I’ll randomly catch an ad on social media. I feel like I’m in the same boat most of the time, unless it’s a franchise I already keep an eye on!

Honestly, this place keeps me in the loop. Friends talking about new games, what they loved or didn't, giving recommendations. It's very helpful. 😊

On the old place, I just followed all the major gaming outlets. Plus a ton of people in the indie scene. Every time I saw someone promoting indie games I'd go through the replies and follow anyone who posted anything that looked cool. And just in general following people who love games.

Honestly, you'll never be able to follow them all! I think we're entering a renaissance of indie games. With all the struggles big gaming companies have had lately, more and more developers are starting small studios. And I think that's for the better tbh.

Absolutely! I feel like AAA games these days suffer from "too many cooks in the kitchen". When you start to have hundreds or more people working on a single project, the overall vision suffers.

You can always make an alt account. Or sub to a bunch of gametubers and switch to a subfeed. Definitely recommend subbing to Nintendo's account, 'cause they're really good about announcing upcoming releases.

I’ve said my opinions on certain games, and people have been respectful about it, as they should. People who review games are literally the worst people to talk about games because they don’t give a damn about anyone else’s opinion but their own.

Honestly (and I know I might get small hate for it) the gaming subreddit on Reddit is not too bad in terms of gaming news and occasionally has small developers put out info on their releases. Other than that steam charts help if you’re on PC.

There's this YouTube channel that posts indie stuff semi-regularly, they've been a great help in keeping track of stuff all in one place.
I also used to follow the devs themselves back in the bird place, some of em could be here but I haven't checked lol

Even though I don’t play competitive games as much as I used to, I’m a sucker for hero type games. I still play overwatch to this day and I’m gonna eventually try valorant.
