Oh you'll love this...

My mother made lime pickle with home grown citrus, and my mother-in-law pickled a bunch of raw home-grown mangoes.

The local Indian shop leaves a lot to be desired, like more than a couple weeks to the expiry date on the bottled pickles they sell..
