As someone who works in recruiting and has worked with DEI and Diverse Slate.. this is complete BS and they absolutely are pandering. It’s been shown time and time again that efforts like this are positive and necessary to move us forward.

They want to completely remove the Diverse slate because this will then give them clause to hire someone who is a 25 year old man over a 50 year old man, or someone who doesn’t have specific needs to fulfil a role vs someone with autism… this is a “we didn’t ask so we didn’t know” cover up.

The thing is.. you can’t not know unless they choose not to tell you. Have to ask the questions required by federal law. Also can’t take protected status into account when hiring. Diverse Slate is simply a tool to help the top of funnel be a better rep of the pop - it’s never for the final step. 🫠

The thing is.. other companies will certainly follow suit as well. We are likely going to see a continued shift in positions during this admin and I’m not excited for it in any way.

What they’ve basically said was DEI is only based on minorities and they want to treat everyone ‘equally’… failing to take into account the lack of equity - needs for people to be treated equally 💀

We’re in 2025… do they think people are falling for this bs, like we aren’t clued up? DEI has been around for the best part of a decade (at least as far as I’m aware) - them saying this like they’re fooling anyone is the most outlandish thing I’ve ever seen 🫠
