This shit is completely intentional. But how does the west counter it? That’s the big problem right now. Russia has no agenda beyond throwing wrenches and breaking things. So what’s the counter?
The only way bad actors will change their behavior is if there's consequences. It doesn't matter if it's a thief or a nation. Luckily the Finns are seizing the Eagle S so the Russians will actually experience consequences and guess what? Russia won't nuke Finland.
Not on the ship. The anchor was conspicuously absent when the Finnish military, who boarded the Eagle S, ordered the captain to raise that anchor... once the chain was out of the water the anchor was visibly missing.

As I skeeted on my timeline, I really think the only solution is for NATO to seize them all at once as undeclared enemy combatants.
It’s not like Russia or China can complain about it.
