More disasters to come under those MERIT WHITE BOYS who think they are the only people qualified to run everything. Not DEI. Let’s see how long this Trump policy prevail
Guess how many of the 18 injured that needed to go to the hospital in Toronto will have to pay for that hospital visit? No one will pay for any hospital charges because in Canada health care is free.
You said, "Healthcare is only free for Canadians." That's wrong. What I was suggesting was that even though some of the patients may not have health insurance as visitors the chance of them getting a bill is next to zero percent. Canada is better than that!
But the air traffic controllers were in Toronto, Canada, with Canadian hiring practices.
So thinking it had something to do with what's going on in the US doesn't make sense.
The world is so stupid right now. I blame Trump, Musk and Putin for everything bad that is happening. Honorable mention also goes to the Republicans in Congress who have all forgotten they have a constitutional duty to fucking stand up and be a co-equal branch of the government.
This was during landing, but I think they should have done a go-around to reassess wind conditions on the ground. Thankfully and critically, fuel tanks would’ve been near empty, which lessened the chance of fire.
There’s still 6000 lbs of jet fuel on board on landing. Videos do show fire as it hit ground. Eyewitnesses said smell of fuel was intense. Thankfully Pearson has new advanced firetrucks on standby that spray 19x normal water/foam output to put fires out quickly. Probably saved lives

They're bringing a lot of problems with them.
And some, I assume, are good pilots.

I'm thinking wind shear maybe? Hard to see mechanical failure as a cause.
