Parents worried about their kids’ social media use are nostalgic for a version of their own childhood. They’d be better served cultivating digital literacy skills.

https://default/my-generation every generation is different. Maybe try to understand them, before getting upset that they’re not doing things the way your generation did. As a gen-x with an 18 & 19 year old, I understand them better after watching this series.
This is pure shit you wrote. You are probably payed by the same advertisers who as was written in The Careless people, wants to sell ads to depressed teens. Fuck you Bloomberg.
Reminded of the first 'social media' way way way way back in my school days. Something despicable called
SLAM BOOK.
Anyone else on Bluesky old enough to remember.
government based bans are never ever gonna be effective if not parred with actual parenting. too many 21st century parents want it both ways, protect their kids from the scarier side of the internet, but also shove a tablet at their preschooler to watch YouTube before they can even read.
With my 2 kids, we discuss all kinds of things regarding what they do online, we give them more freedom online than perhaps society would approve, but it comes with a caveat that we have all their passwords and can check stuff periodically and this will stay in place till their 18.
