Oh so basically signaling and advertising. I wonder whether that's as a result of like limited personal time under capitalism leading to the need to skip the trials and speed run to the results?
Like usual human interactions are more a getting to know rather than a checklist verification. So lacking a better word. We trial one another until we're sure about each other. And then leave or stay accordingly. But that, rewarding and encouraged as it may be, takes time.
