My thoughts (big thread)
While a lot of the comments are supportive, I have definitely felt a surge of negativity flavor wise in recent videos, writing off the new non-UB sets as "not actually magic sets", calling Aetherdrift a "poorly disguised un set" when we just got an in depth (and pretty good)

I don’t even play that much MTG right now but I watch (and sometimes rewatch) TCC videos because the professor is fun and largely positive (thumbnails be damned). Also, lowkey was hoping he’d do a full sentiment analysis on his video transcripts as a form of evidence overkill.

I appreciate some honest negativity tbh. I find it hard to trust the opinions of creators who are always negative or always positive. In anything we're passionate about, there's always going to be stuff we like and stuff we dislike.

I think that content creators tend to be weighted towards the doom and gloom aspects of the game. Commentators that chase clicks definitely lean towards negative opinions, because the algorithm demands it. The only "shilling" I usually see is towards paid sponsorships, which is expected.

I think Prof does a really good job of walking the line of loving the game and being a fan while also being protective of the fan base from some of them more disappointing/predatory decisions that come from a modern major corporation like WotC/Hasbro.Just found the pic I took with him at Commandfest

I think i have been an outspoken critic of your camp a long time, but I don't think it's always negative. There is a lot of status quo that gets made from someone being the most popular, so that makes the grain one way. It just feels like I need to have a congruent opinion to get something out of it

Unfortunately, there are a lot of people who feel criticism of any kind is negative. This is a major problem in today's world imo. You are passionate about a hobby that has a passionate fan base. Negativity is easier to latch onto than positivity is, so it gets remembered more.
