Scott Harris has said that Torres is playing second w/Keith moving to first. If we can bring in Bregman and free Vierling to play OF/DH, now the Tigers are cooking. An infield of Bregman, Baez, Torres and Keith is legit.

Your original point is well taken though. I think they can live with Torres defense at second because of what he brings as a .860 OPS hitter vs lefties. Lefty pitchers pretty much had their way vs the Tigers last year
