Caught a bit of Wheeltappers & Shunters last night. S1 ep3 from 1975. Nothing can quite prepare you for the shocking banality of mid 70s light ent cabaret. To see Lonnie Donnegan desperately hoofing away like that at the end will stay with me. It was like a UK Day of The Locusts.
