I guess enough time has passed now to fully digest the Crossbell journey, and look back on my own tierlist for the Trails games so far that I have played. Azure was phenomenal, but not without it's own drawbacks. Overall, it will be right behind SC, and definitely is one of my favourite jrpgs ever. - ThreadSky

It's easy to gush about the numerous parts about this game which are absolutely amazing. The only two things though for me which holds it back somewhat from beating out SC even, was the pacing (the timeskips specifically in the last few chapters) and the combat (combat peaked in 3rd for me).

Yeah overall I can’t tell which of those two is the best. I tend to like azure more, but it’s hard to tell overall. I think that I just enjoyed it more. Both have places where they’re better, but they’re both awesome games and among the best I’ve ever played if not the best

Yeah, it's tough to decide between SC and Azure. They're so so close for me. I might give a slight edge to SC, but Azure has the Crossbell region which is my favorite gaming location ever.

It's like comparing a 9.5/10 to a 9.4.
