If you like old school God of War, Prince of Persia, Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Revengeance and other hack and slash action games, then you definitely need to try this out...
I've played Ninja Gaiden Sigma (which I've heard some people say Black is better) and NGII, but I had a great time with both! A great enough time to be excited for 4, at any rate.
The new remake of 2 is basically Sigma with some changes, it's not exactly Black.
But tbh i don't care much, am just happy to be playing an NG game after so long...

We got this and Onimusha back, I can live with the next dmc being a bit late...
