the amount of reps you do and the amount of weight you use has more purpose than showing “how strong” you are- heavier weights with less reps does something different in your body than lighter weights with more reps, and i would do research on which is your goal, or if you’d prefer the middle ground
also, stretch before any workout, and consider starting your workout with light cardio (after stretching) to get your heart rate up, which benefits you and your health. also, it’s important to do dynamic stretching before a workout, and static stretching after as a cool down
