I wish but 🇺🇸 is proving to be largely apathetic, unwilling, and wholly uniformed. I don’t even know anymore. 🇺🇸 voters lit the fuse for a darker, meaner billionaire led world. He won the popular vote, many didn’t vote and the rest don’t seem ready to mobilize en masse. Time is running out. 🇺🇸 Act!

Yes, violence can be expected from a brutal autocratic regime. It's terrifying and painful to realize that nonviolent civil resistance is a more effective response than counter-violence. Nonviolence requires a unique form of courage. I hope that we can all summon up that courage!

The bigger the turnout, the less confident the military will be in starting the shooting. The harder part is that the protests have to have an agreed upon goal - it can't be Occupy Wall Street. And maybe hardest of all, there has to be institutional support. Someone has to say, "Enough."
