I don't think it's a downgrade of any kind. Pngtubers, giftubers, toontubers and 2D and 3D Vtubers, while coming at different price points are all just different mediums and aren't any better than the other. Just like the different art mediums, the only difference is just your preference <3

I'm obviously biased but I think it's really neat when vtubers have a non-anime aesthetic. You can get really expressive stuff out of more stylised models so it shouldn't be considered a downgrade imo. At worst it's a sidegrade, a lateral shift in production style.

Yeah! Even though I don't catch your streams super often I always immediately recognize you in art even when you're Mobian or otherwise massively off model.

Which I think goes to show there's a lot of motifs in your design that could carry into a toon model no problem.
