Want to repeat advice I got when I was an airline spokesperson: Wear long pants. Socks. Closed toe shoes you can run in. Coat/jacket with zip/snap pockets to keep phone, wallet, etc. through the flight. You will have what you need if something terrible happens and you get out. More protection too.
Toronto weather is windy. My daughter landed at LGA and said that due to extreme wind, it’s the scariest landing she’s ever had. I know we’re all in a rush but hope air traffic controllers are considering safety as the #1 priority. Ground flights if prudent - perhaps the cost of climate change.
