I’ve heard good things about Owlbear Rodeo! And D&D Beyond is a great place to keep character sheets active. Rolling there is easy (if you want to), leveling up is easy, too, and the encounter system they’re testing is actually pretty good.

If you pay for the Master level subscription, D&D Beyond has a lightweight maps function in alpha too. It’s not where OR is yet, but if your party is all in on DDB, Master level lets you share the books you purchase with your players.
Yep. I do the sharing thing with all of my players. But we’re happy in Foundry, too. I looked at the D&D Beyond maps and they were missing too much functionality for me.
Doesn’t mean they aren’t right for some folks, though. I’m pretty agnostic. Folks should use what works best for them.
