I swear, the part of me that thought 'wouldn't a soup maker be a good idea' deserves a small medal.

What in the WORLD!? Is it like a pressure cooker? How hard is it to clean?

I have this one. It is super-easy (ho ho) to clean.

(It was also a Christmas present, hence the splashing out! Oh dear, the puns write themselves.)

My brother bought me one a few Christmases ago and at first I was a little eye rolly because I have pans and a blender but actually it is great.
It can probably make something other than leek and potato soup but it's classic for a reason.

It's coming in exceptionally handy for the 'use up stuff that comes in the veg box that's perfectly good but does need using'. Especially lettuce. We're doing a lot of pea and lettuce soup, which is actually rather lovely.

I also like just being able to fill it up and... leave it to get on with it.
