I learned a new word that captures how I feel about the destruction of Ontario Place and other natural spaces around me.

“Solastalgia” is a portmanteau of solace, desolation and nostalgia. Nostalgia is the longing we feel when we leave home. Solastalgia is the distress we feel when home leaves us.
