little artmaking tip that's helped me level up a bit lately: when i finish a piece, i let it sit for a few days and then come back and put like an extra 45min-1h in it, no more no less

You need to refresh yourself from working on it so you can come back with a clearer perspective and fresh eyes/ears on what you might wanna touch up
I always turn mine blank side up (traditional artist), so I don't keep looking at it over those days too and kind of "forget" what I was seeing.

Putting a time limit on the revisions is smart, though. Stops the inevitable scope creep as long as I remember to set it.
