Um, technically Scrooge was visited by four spirits if you include Jacob Marley so maybe correct yourself before you give out bad information this year.

Also I have never seen a mention of Fred’s dad ever, like it’s all Fran died in childbirth but did Fred just get dumped in an orphanage? Did his father/father’s family take him in? No one ever talks about him
In this ‘51 film adaptation at least, the husband is there in the death scene? Imagine your wife is dying and on her deathbed she’s asking. HER BROTHER to take care of your child when she’s gone. Right in front of you. Brutal.
The story also said each would come tonight and the following night, and the night after. Yet, they all showed up the same night, an hour after each other.
Then Dickens should have written "Tonight you will be visited by three additional spirits. To be clear, you should not count me in this total for I am already heeeeeeerrreeee"
Someone on here posted that since he’s a returned dead person, Marley’s a ghost, whereas the other three are spirits since their manifestations of their respective concepts.
Nah, I don’t think we should put ghosts of dead dudes on the same tier as spiritual embodiments of immemorial concepts, such as good, evil or holidays.
