Im a single dude in Canada. If the government made large scale apartment blocs that meant I had an affordable place of my own without needing two jobs to save for a house, (Especially considering rent here is equal to or more than most peoples mortgages) I'd gladly accept it.
Hrmm, not in love with the revival of company towns, honestly, but improved access to affordable housing is improved access to affordable housing. I think something like this but with seperated ownership could work
i do think jobs need to address the skyrocketing cost of living in some way, if literally building houses for your workers does it then sure? idk how good an idea that is with at will states though lol
Read again. If you think there's any sort of equivalence between what happens in the US and what happened in the USSR or China, I can't help you. You need to learn much about what the world is outside if the US. And its history.
Credit score is not social score. But its my fault for assuming intellectual honesty on your part. Acourding to you, the USSR or China are just like the US. No difference. Enjoy your insanity of relativism.
It's complicated but there's definitely room for free market solutions to this problem. Rewriting zoning laws. Severely restricting corporate homeownership. And government construction of new housing

Jesus. Capitalists just hate low income housing and inexpensive rents.
