It looks like Osage orange based on the coloring of heartwood and sapwood. Also called horse apple. Hardest North American native. When it’s straight it’ll split, but it rarely grows straight.

I have split locust that looked like this. You can split a whole log just by pounding a wedge along the grain. Looooong sword spear splinters like you're showing here. That's a hell of a knot in it.
