Tbh if it’s hard to get a whole workout in, you can stop anytime you think about it during the day/night and do a few reps of something !! 10 pushups, 10 squats, even a 30sec wall sit randomly, and eventually it gets more consistent. Slow progress but it’s progress !!
I started with a simple at-home workout (push-ups, sit-ups, squats) to build the habit and confidence. Once I started seeing results and confidence, I went to the gym and started watching YouTube videos to learn the form of workouts I wanted to do. These days, I start with 15 minutes on the
Elliptical, followed by stretching and 2 core exercises if I have time, then three sets each of three weighted exercises for whatever muscle group I’m targeting. I’ve never been one to diet, but paying attention to portion sizes helps too. For reference, I went from 130 to 160, back down to a toned
135 and went up to 178 in the past year. I’m currently at 167 and focusing on staying consistent, that’s my only pitfall. Do something every day, even if it’s just a walk. The habit of moving your body is the most important thing.
