I don't like that media has to now be created with the media illiteracy of its consumers in mind and that it's its responsibility to educate, I guess, as well as entertain

IMO creative work always orients toward some audience or other, and choosing your audience, and how you hope to relate to them, and by what means you seek to move them and earn both their trust and their commitment to new ideas—like, that's what it's all about.
