What's striking about this article and the rote op-ed that follows it is the constant theme of identifying outside DEFENSE attorneys as super-experts with the state's best interests at heart – but outside PLAINTIFF attorneys as suspicious strangers looking to make a quick buck off the state.

Two items of interest in today's Delaware Business Times:
1) An article outlining in-state coalition of pushing for this bill. It includes the healthcare monopolist & developers' assoc. A great example of how local business see their interests as aligned w/ int'l oligarchs – & opposite workers.

Plaintiffs (generally) seek to hold wealthy and powerful folks accountable.
If you only talk to defense lawyers, you’re only hearing from the friends of the rich.
I think it’s not “nobody should be paid that much,” it’s “the wrong people are being paid, on my friend’s dime.”
