the only other example i can think of is jellyfish who i *didn't* find through hi hi puffy ami yumi, but it was through beavis and butt-head, who strangely didn't seem to have an opinion on the band at all

There's also their precursor band Requiem In White that has a similar but slightly more intense sound than the first MS album, though I could not even fathom trying to collect RIW on discogs when an ebay listing I saw wanted 500 smackers for one of the vinyls

Definitely made it very easy for people to keep track of him and I admire it

But yeah I'll say I've been listening to RIW/MS since 2011 and one time I tried putting it on the auxcord of an ex friend's stream he was instantly like 'what is this horseshit never play it again' so that's my endorsement
