I never played videogames in my life until I was 19 and bought my own computer with my own money (consoles too expensive) 😭 and since it took me months to pay for the pc fully, I could only afford ONE GAME for that year 💀

NO LIKE FR my old computer was a hand-me-down thing as well as my consoles and it took me YEARS to build the one i own now cuz my disability salary's like 200 dollars PER MONTH. new games are like "60 but it's not the full game either that's like 90" since like, ever— IT'S ALWAYS BEEN UNAFFORDABLE—

Gonna see more folks like me who have to keep themselves removed from new game hype cycle because I can’t afford more than one or two games a year so I gotta instead wait for release day to be surprised that it exists and get The Feeling(TM) that I know means that’s the one game of the year for me

my advice is finding the one game you're interested on, don't watch/read ANYTHING abt it

then a years or two later (hype tends to die 5 days after the release nowadays -p) ,when it's on a sale and affordable, you'll remember it exist and will be happy to have and play it on your own time and pace
