I've been getting misgendered online for decades, and I can't win. If I have pronouns in my bios I'm being woke, if I tell people "um, I'm female..." I'm making a fuss and need to chill, and if I use a girly username I'm a fake fan/"pick me".

When playing Quake 3 I noticed the trend that anybody with an effeminate sounding name was usually a badass kill machine. And anybody named "god" was an easy target.

I wouldn't give myself an obviously femme name or do voice chat unless I was really, really good at a game (otherwise the bullying is way worse. At least if you're good, you can laugh at them), so that makes sense to me 😅

Stating pronouns is not a political stance, it's just giving information. 😭

Seriously! It's really no different from the dropdown for title when sending a letter. It'd be so silly if you just had to GUESS if somebody is a Mr, Mrs, Miss, Mx or Dr etc. based purely on the vibes of their name!
