Skins like Dungeons skin #23, it’s more “we have a list of assets to get through naming”, and because they won’t be seen or used as much, it’s less of a big deal, though those still go through a review to make sure we’re not hitting a copyright or accidentally swearing in another language.

If it’s possible, I’d be interested to see an interview or article on these characters. I wrote the wiki pages for them, tried really hard to make them all feel equal but unfortunately the new guys don’t have as much content as Steve yet. Zuri and Makena especially deserve more spotlight.

Important to note that the skins are things players can use to represent themselves, and while they have names, we don’t tend to imbue them with character and personality. This is intentional. As the end poem says, “You are the player”. It’s your story, not Steve or Zuri’s.

Yeah don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t want them to have set character. I just mean I want them to be equally represented, we still don’t have good copies of their stock art, and merch is still rolling out very slowly. On the wiki this means there are hundreds of Steve pictures but a hundred of Noor.

As far as development stuff goes, I think showing early designs or the philosophies behind them could inspire a lot of people. There used to be a lot of skin packs with variations of Steve and occasionally Alex, something like that for the full gang.

It all depends on what folks want to do. Toys will happen as licensees see that there's a demand for it and design/manufacture something (and those lead times are often 18 months out). Older skin packs did a lot of variants of Steve, but now there are more interesting things to represent overall.

But if there was a big demand known from the community for the new skins to show up in some way or in some medium, that might start happening. As with other features, make your voice heard!
