This is an unforgivably bad season for Arteta at Arsenal, who are currently second place in England and cruising to the final 16 of the Champions League.

The extreme responses are ridiculous (sack him!) but the season has been very harsh relative to expectations.
Personally I have to filter those out and grant some people a bit of emotional bandwidth for what has been a pretty rough week of results (and further injury).
It's not the end of the world, but we can only look at ourselves, in victory or defeat.
It's a funk and we will get out of it, doesn't mean I can't raise concern, surely?
Hopes, realistic or not, were not to be out of both cups and (while in 2nd) potentially 8-9 points back. There’s relativism here.
FYI I’m still hopeful!
But, and this is the case for many, is that the earlier hopes were for things higher than where we are right now. Add in the prognosis with our health and pessimism is utterly understandable.
And even so nobody is denying the unpleasantness of bad shit happening, just the idea that somehow some way it must be somebody’s fault and so naturally that somebody must be the manager.
We could figure it out tomorrow.
