Immigrants have never been any sort of threat in my life, not in the least bit, so for this to resonate with me it would need to be written as “uneducated voters are a real and significant threat, undocumented immigrants are not.”

My grandmother graduated Wellesley College in 1913. She was 1 of the 9% of ALL Americans who had a college degree at that time.
She marched for her right to vote (granted in 1920) cause she didn’t think her opinion counted less than a random male illiterate.
