I wish people in red states who think Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act are different would recognize how their conditioned hatred prevents them from learning about issues that directly impact their lives.

Mr Gump was quite accurate when he said, quoting his wonderfully insightful mother, “stupid is as stupid does”. Trump has made being stupid an acceptable lifestyle choice
You would think that once they learned they are the same, they would experience an awakening and start questioning what else they have been reflexively conditioned to hate.
Conditioned hatred seems a whole lot like racism, plain and simple, to me.
It’s the same kind of hatred that caused towns to bulldoze their public swimming pools when the pools were integrated. They claimed it was to prevent polio, but some people thought those tans might rub off.
It’s ignorance and a lack of education. This is precisely what Republicans want in the long term. A population that is less educated will vote for republicans!
They’re brainwashed. It’s a cult. They are immune to facts. And when they suffer the consequences, there will be a new conspiracy theory to explain how it’s someone else’s fault.
I saw some videos with people regretting their votes for this exact reason (assuming they're legit). But they look old enough to have been around during ACA time. Can there be permanent ads/posters to drill into their brains?
They will learn soon enough when they go to refill their insulin and find they’ve lost coverage and cannot get coverage due to their diabetic preexisting condition. They will regret their racism and overeating deep fried ice cream. Though not in that order.
The good thing in a twist of irony way is that they'll soon learn that they were the same thing when the ACA is repealed and no one wants to touch their pre-existing conditions.
