Under normal circumstances, and as regards normal people, I'd agree with that.
But when tragedy, say specifically death, befalls execrable people, namely those responsible for much suffering and dying, I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with feeling relief, and even joy at their departure.
Hmm... what if the "something tragic" is happening to Elon Musk?
For example, he's Finding Out as a result of Fucking Around and spending billions on a bluebird only to drive it into a brick wall and now it's not looking so good...
Oh and I quite literally prayed for bin Laden’s death on the daily and cried tears of joy when it was announced. There are glaring exceptions to this sentiment. Sometimes the world needs to be rid of its existential threats.
Then you may consider me and my family unhealthy and not free because when a certain person meets his end we’ve already discussed what we’re writing on the celebratory cake.
Generally yes, but I can think of several exceptions to that rule at the moment.
And I don’t even think that makes me a bad person.
That I feel that way is BECAUSE of the evilness of those folks.
So there!
My grandson asked his mother…”if grandma doesn’t like King Charles, why does she feel bad he’s sick?” She responded that because she doesn’t like to see a any person or animal sick or hurt, even people she doesn’t like.
Does this hinge on the word “celebration”? Because while I would not “celebrate,” I would be quite pleased if any and all animal abusers would be, well, just gone somehow.
Clearly Mr. Turner has never been SA'd, physically or mentally abused, tortured, or even been aware of those things being done to other people or animals.
Not celebrating, but not giving a damn if a sack of human shaped garbage encounters hardships. My empathy is reserved for those who know how to be decent human beings.
Who among us won't do the happy dance when DonOld bites the dust? I don't think this questions my mental health. He's a horrible, awful person and we've been subjected to him for far too long.
I think this can be accepted as written. None of us are free, in the world as it is. If those who work to keep us under the yoke were to die, I would celebrate. If this resulted in freedom, I would lose the cause for celebration.
Yeah... I'm not gonna feel guilty for enjoying the suffering of those that deserve it because of how much of that same suffering they've inflicted on others.

I find find joy in that right? :)
I’ll have a street party with anyone who wants to celebrate.

I am not a free person.
That quote should've clarified as to what is tragic.
Let me clarify it:
When the innocent are harmed, that's tragic.
When karma catches up with tyrants...
THAT'S A FUCKING CAUSE FOR CELEBRATION!
