I do love shawarma! But I’m a SE PA gal & I’ll always go for a cheesesteak, roast pork & extra sharp provolone, or a broccoli rabe w/extra sharp provolone, too.
Chopped cheese is a mince/ground beef and cheese version of a cheese steak.
Chopped cheese you add it all together and chop it up on the griddle.
Cheese steak you cook your meat (without chopping) and then add your cheese before placing on your bread vessel.
I was born in Philly, and enjoyed authentic cheese steak sandwiches growing up. I live in Colorado now, but the last time I went back for a visit... bad. Authentic: Thin, chopped steak, and sliced provolone cheese. Now they use that orange cheese from a squeeze bottle. I make my own, the proper way.
