There are tag team heroes everywhere fighting this atrocity.. I am not religious, but i do think that if we do not keep the heart in this fight we are no better than those we are fighting ... https://youtu.be/b-2dKOfbC9c?si=DLp3UPX8YhCBCsFz
100% with you on that! My father spent the entirety of world war II in North Africa and Europe. Sleeping on either the ground or cot for over 4 years and watching bone spurs tear our country apart and disparaging ukrainians is infuriating.
I’m from CT. In WWII my entire family, and town (Canaan) fought, and some died, to defeat fascism. Interesting that the century after they all died, we have fascism. The greatest generation isn’t here to teach us lessons anymore
I spoke to 40+ veterans at the VFW in October.
Asked them who their fathers uncles and so on fought in WW2 the answer overwhelmingly was Nazis
For Vietnam the answer was Communism or Russia
Then I asked them how they could consider voting for Trump when he supports both.
I got asked to leave.
or so that Oligarchs and billionaires could gut the country financially while destroying the lives of 400+ million ppl.
what is happening is so shameful. I think most ppl don't get it yet. this isn't something that gets fixed with a new govt. this is decades of repair to get back to where it was
My father and three brothers fought in that war. My mother’s cousin died in the Bataan death march. It’s shameful how their sacrifice is being ignored.
My grandfather survived WWII but he wrote this letter to my dad on his 1st bday. He was in Okinawa so he could not be with him. The last paragraph to my dad says it all. I’m here away from you now so that in the future you won’t have to be away from your son.
My father was a marine there that day, defending those men raising the flag. He defended the rights and liberties for America. He is shaking his head at what has become of our government
My children’s great grandfather was in the platoon that brought the piece of broken pipe up to raise the flag not for the reenactment, but the real raising. He would be devastated with the current Nazi fetish sweeping this country.
My grandfather’s cousin is John Bradley who is pictured during the raising of the 2nd flag. I wouldn’t have known if I didn’t ask about the picture in my grandmas kitchen. Funny how nonchalant they talked about it
Phil never spoke about it until he was essentially dying of cancer. We all knew he had been on Iwo Jima but I had no idea how bad it was. He never even told me he was hit. They were truly the greatest generation. I am embarrassed for them.

Their lives are sacrificed.
Sure - Milpers may put themselves at risk.
But, they don't create the risk.
They just commit to cleaning up the mess others make.
Never say 'they sacrificed their lives'.
They didn't.
They were sacrificed.
For Fuck Sake
