Some advice for a higher quality of life; pull out your DS and just game on that for a while sometime. Not 3DS backwards compatibility, but your honest to goodness plain jane Nintendo DS

The 3DS resolution makes DS games look like hot garbo, but pull that shit up on the original hardware and buddy it'll cure what ails the soul
I never really noticed.

...Now I need to pull out my different ones and look...
I need that R4 with 200 games on the cart
plus: rumble pak!

Picross DS puts it to great use!
I want DSi XL for this specific reason but they’re annoyingly expensive
I haven't checked the going rate lately, but I grabbed one last year for about $60 which wasn't too bad. It's a nice piece of hardware
It's still in perfect working order so I just take my GBA SP with me most places I go, because of the Puzzle League games I have for it, and whatever else I feel like using it for.
I play my original NES still...when I can get it to work.
What if I don't have a DS? :(
Then disregard, I suppose
3DS but I just started a new Chrono Trigger playthrough this weekend.
I'm a bad gamer I still need to play it, but I did just grab it for my steam deck since it seems like the PC version is fixed now
After having read all of Dragon Ball through Super in the last year, I really got the itch to play some Toriyama character design games.
I highly recommend Dragon Ball Origins 1 & 2 on DS. Very cute, DS-Zelda-likes that go through almost all of the original Dragon Ball story. First game even has a lost woods section in a dessert.
Time for some Meteos
Would if I could. I had 3 but they all snapped in half.
Why not go four for four
Don’t tempt me! Honestly if someone does custom cases that fix the hinge issue I’d be interested.
I sold my DS 😭😭😭 (I regret it really hard)
Anyone know a good quality replacement battery for the DS Lite? I really don’t want to risk the hardware trying some $3 aliexpress special.
if you've got a local store, hit em up, they're likely selling a reliable alternative. you're not gonna find OEM in 2025, but you can largely trust many of the third party ones retro stores are keeping on hand these days
