Actually, how are same age death rates chaotic in one bucket and not the other? Don't they need to be balanced?

Even with an unplotted independent grouping, it seems suspicious that the democratic data seems to trend and the republican is erratic over that range

This is 100% data, the bouncing is real and is happening more in Republican voting states. I live in Alabama, I think part of this id due to a lot of Evangelicals praying for cures rather than getting immunized and going to doctors. The r between % Evan and COVID deaths in 2020 .04, in 2021 .70.🧪

As I taught statistics, X has two legs it can stand INDFEPENTLY at the bottom of the graph. Y has one leg is DEPENDENT on the side of the graph to stand up.
Here X is age in single years from 0 to 84, the most detailed available. Y is the single year age by party % of the total death rate by year.🧪

My impression from the title is that the death rate within each state has been normalized as a proportion of the national death rate.

So greater than 100% means a death rate higher than the national average.

I never got to drive a motorcycle. I started driving a tractor the summer before I started the first grade. I fell asleep on it twice then and ran into the fence. The tractor died, mom called dad at the beer joint and he came and promised to trade me in for a nigger girl if I did it again. I did.

Besides the simple fact that Dems actually care if people have healthcare, I wonder if long-term health issues from anti-vax beliefs play a role. Like COVID and artery plaque, measles causing vulnerability to other infections, and HPV caused cancers etc.

Anti-vax plays a major role. In the United States we pay the most for health care but in a ranking of more than 200 countries by COVID death rates, the United States was 17th from the top. I merged state life expectancy with CIA country life expectancy, my home state, Alabama, ranked 160th
