Love Stage! and Utena. Love Stage! is not good lol very toxic but 13 year old me thought it was cool. I read the manga a couple years back and I wish I didn't. Utena on the other hand has changed my life and it's a series important to me to this day.

Well, Sailor Moon has elements of BL and yuri, but if we're talking dedicated BL/yuri series... For yuri, I think it was probably Maria Watches Over Us? I vaguely remember renting actual DVDs from Netflix to watch that. If not, then it might have been Sweet Blue Flowers.

BL... I'm never quite sure whether or not to count Nabari no Ou as BL. I personally see Miharu and Yoite as being queerplatonic partners, but that's not "official", so... My first BL that was unambiguously BL, though... Yuri On Ice? Or was it Love Stage? I can't remember which I watched first.
