As an Early Childhood Educator, I'm glad to see that ECEs were specifically mentioned here. Perhaps there needs to be a conversation on why we never see ECEs on the Sunshine List (a profession by the way, that often requires at minimum 2 years post-secondary, but more often even more than that.)

Such a conversation would be made much easier if all of our salaries were listed.

Anecdotally, I find people who are at the lower-end of the income spectrum, are far more willing to disclose their income level compared to those at the top.

I agree with many of the points made about the transparency in salaries. But the Sunshine List, as it was first created and *continues* to be published as it has grown without the threshold increasing has led to essentially private citizens having their privacy violated in consequential ways.

This USED to be top salaries for civil servants holding jobs where they had an expectation of being identifyable and accessible. Politicians, ADMs, roles like the executives of Ontario Hydro, University administration.

I find it problematic that it now releases name, role, salary, and location...

Why make it only apply to public servants though? None of them make big money anyway. Much more interesting to see what *everyone* is paid.
