Another answer as to why people have a perception that the lifestyle is about sex is that a few too many pornographers, swingers, exhibitionists / voyeurs purposely misuse #nudism / #naturism to get attention to their content.
Likewise too many self identified swingers, exhibitionists & voyeurs have the misconception that their lifestyles ARE #nudism / #naturism, or that they can also be #nudists at the same time.
