Many advocates use language about preserving or extending rights when they set out to explain why they oppose oppression.

We propose a different framework: gender self-determination.

Gender self-determination.

In my case, I refuse the concept of gender (and of so-called "biological sex"). My preferred gender marker would be "N/A". My reproductive system does not define me.
