I wouldn't take Paxlovid either just because of the side effects I heard others experienced. Besides it's most effective 72 hrs after first symptoms.

I was nauseous within 20 minutes of taking it every single time and didn’t eat much for an entire week.

Those antiviral side effects are nasty. I couldn't fault you for not wanting to take Paxlovid. I skipped taking my script and still ended up losing weight because of no appetite.
