Initial thoughts: The Corsair as a Jack-Off All Trades with little drawbacks worries me a bit of being to op. The Mandalay is already a bit over the line for my taste.

Most hyped: The attention Elite gets from the developers. Colonization is huge and Vanguard sounds interesting.

Theres a LOT of hauling but having the options to create a system of your choice is amazing and Im really enjoying it so far. Being in a Squadron is such a great help as others suddenly help and your commodity list drops rapidly.

Really excited to see what Vanguards bring to the game, having more options to work together as a group is always a big plus for me.

Vanguards sound like they will be squadrons that actually have features and will bring players together. If they can implement a bank etc for modules and creds then this will really change how the game works in-game. I hope they go the whole hog and give players these abilities.

Sounds very close to running a corporation in Eve but not as complex. If they get this right it could extend to colonisation and running stations and outpost economies.

Yes which i think is a good move, it keeps the sim style of elite and adds mild evelike plannimg without constant spreadsheets! But it my not actually be this deep, i havent got past an outpost in the bubble!

I think it's a bloody shame that we can't employ NPCs in more ways than having them fly our SLFs (or ships) when we're around.
Imagine having pilots that can go out and mine or haul by themselves, of course in ships provided by us and then "sell" the stuff to our carriers.

Some of the gameplay that emerged out of Eve naturally can happen with Elite. Miners could sit and mine all day, drop the cargo and Haulers could come and pick them up and sell them, take a cut. That’s what Squads should have created, more role play.

Surprised it never happened.

NPCs? Because that's what I'd like to see in ED, although we have NPCs doing all that stuff. But it would be nice to have them working for us.
Hmm, might even go so far that we don't have to play the game ourselves. Dead Internet has to start somewhere, after all. 😁

Yeah i have played x4 sometimes and thought it would be great to send a couple of mining ships out with an escort of an FDL amd a cotvette and collect stuff. They could call for assistance if they needed it too!

I hear ya. But I think it's coming, or else there wouldn't be so many ports with (disabled) colonisation contacts out here.
I can imagine how it will change the game once these arbitrary/artificial limitations have been removed.

FDEV's energy around #EliteDangerous is the biggest highlight of all. I'm thoroughly excited for each and every facet of this marvellous game that they propose to bring and I love the enthusiasm from the community. 2025 is set to be a breathtaking year for us all in the game.
